Training Nurse Aides
A new Nurse Aide Institute at Wexner Heritage Village will kick-off its first class in April–funded with a $100,000 Foundation grant. Graduates of WHV’s State Tested Nurse Aides Institute may choose to work in long term care, assisted living facilities, or hospitals. STNA’s provide basic health care needs for patients under the direction of an RN or LPN. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of nursing aides, orderlies, and attendants is expected to grow by 20 percent from 2010 to 2020, faster than the average for all occupations.
