Shalom Grants

The purpose of Shalom Grants is to provide one-time funding for special or emergency needs, and to give greater flexibility to changing community needs. Changes in the economy since the program was conceived in 2001 have motivated supporters to designate dollars to these needs. The Foundation allows consideration of more than one (and perhaps even more than two) to an agency if there is a special or emergency need, subject to committee approval.  Grant recommendations emanate from a committee member, member of the Foundation Board of Trustees or staff.  Each grant award is delivered in person by at least one Committee member.

Shalom Grants, ranging from $250 to $1,000, are initiated by members of the Social Justice committee and are for emergency and special needs. Due to the urgency for funding, applications are not available.
