Security Upgrades Planned for Foundation

Thanks to the Ohio State Legislature’s grant program to help nonprofit groups secure their facilities against terror attacks, the Foundation will see many improvements over the next year, including security bollards in the parking lot to prevent cars from driving into the building, bulletproof window and glass film, glass door treatments, security cameras, and fob-controlled building entry.  The upgrades can be credited to the efforts of Ohio Jewish Communities, headed by Howie Beigelman, who provided information to the State Senate about the vulnerabilities of schools, synagogues and community centers. Approval came less than a month after a car-ramming and stabbing attack at The Ohio State University that injured several students.
