Richard D. and Arthur L. Rogovin
We have made this gift to the Columbus Jewish community in honor of our parents, Herman and Eva, as we carry on the tradition established by our paternal grandparents, Samuel and Esther Rogovin of Cambridge, Ohio, who immigrated from Lithuania in 1906. They were dedicated to Jewish charity and education. Our parents, following their example, made the first contribution to the new Beth Abraham synagogue in Zanesville in 1957, and founded the EstherSam Foundation, which supports 25 Jewish charities, including both the Cleveland and Columbus Jewish Federations.
We hope our gift to the Columbus Jewish Foundation will serve as an example and inspiration to our children to continue this family tradition of Jewish life.
