Remembering Norman Shub

We remember Gestalt psychotherapist Norman Shub as a bigger-than-life change agent who always got right to the heart of the matter. His consulting work in the early 2000′s with the Foundation’s Jewish Education and Literacy Committee, then chaired by Barbara Herstig, set the stage for a dynamic period of focus groups with Jewish teens, parental outreach, and town meetings geared to engage the large cohort of teens who become inactive in Judaism after their Bar/Bat Mitzvah.  Using insights and tools gleaned from the “For Our Kids” initiative, agencies and synagogues listened and benefited, with Foundation funding support, revamping and improving teen outreach.
