Police Chief Tapped for Holocaust Training
The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum has invited Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs to participate in a “Lessons of the Holocaust” focus group to shape training for law enforcement officers from around the world. After touring Yad Vashem early in her career, Jacobs committed herself to providing Holocaust education at the USHMM for every Columbus police officer. In a note this week to Foundation leadership, she wrote that this would have been impossible without the Foundation’s strong backing.” Chief Jacobs was recognized for her leadership at a Foundation reception last year in the Mel Schottenstein board room.
