Bonnie Milenthal will be honored at a May 10 event at the Westin Columbus featuring David Brown, Creative Director of Harmony Project. Hannah Solomon founded the National Council of Jewish Women in 1893 when she was asked to organize a group of Jewish women to volunteer at the Chicago World’s Fair. After learning that their role would be to merely serve coffee, they walked out and formed the Council to represent the ambitions of women who longed to do more. Now 100 years strong, the Columbus Chapter has seven permanent endowments to sustain its operations. All are invested and managed by the Foundation.
