Moritz Mayer’s Memory Endures

German-born Mayer fled the Nazis and ultimately settled in Columbus, where he worked as a baker and volunteered for many organizations.  He left the bulk of his estate to the Foundation upon his demise in 1994, including four $100,000 board-restricted funds for the benefit of Agudas Achim, Tifereth Israel, Columbus Torah Academy, and Wexner Heritage Village that generate annual gifts in his memory.
