Leo Yassenoff Eternal Life Fund

The Foundation’s Leo Yassenoff Eternal Life Fund subsidizes premium payments on charitable life insurance policies donated for the benefit of the Columbus Jewish Foundation and its planned giving partners.  The son of a Russian immigrant, Leo Yassenoff was a 1914-1915 offensive lineman at OSU.  He co-founded the F & Y Construction Company in 1919. Among his construction projects were the original Jewish Community Center;  Agudas Achim and synagogues in Marion, Newark, and Zanesville; and, the OSU Hillel Foundation House.  Yassenoff left a considerable portion of his assets to a charitable foundation when he died in 1971.
