Kudos for Holly Kastan

Congratulations to Foundation Jewish Needs Committee member Holly Kastan, who was recognized April 19 at the Wexner Medical Center’s Stress, Trauma and Resilience Faces of Resilience dinner.  In 2005, Kastan teamed up with doctors at the Medical Center to cofound the STAR Program, which now provides education and clinical services and research to assist victims of psychological trauma.  Kastan initiated the program after experiencing firsthand the effects of personal trauma following the loss of her daughter, Sarah, who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome more than 20 years ago, and realized the need for a comprehensive program to assist trauma survivors.
