In Memory of Murray Ebner
September 20, 1928 – November 8, 2015
The memory of the Righteous is a blessing. Proverbs.
For many years, Murray Ebner hoped to build a Holocaust Memorial Park on a pie-shaped wedge of land that he owned across the street from the JCC. But when Jewish Family Services told him in 2003 of their urgent need for new quarters, Murray and his family modified their plans and helped JFS in its time of need. They erected a new $2 million home for JFS on the parcel that contains a Holocaust exhibit in its 1100 square foot lobby, as well as a video bank containing the oral histories of local Holocaust survivors. The Columbus Jewish Foundation extends condolences on the passing of Murray Ebner to Sylvia Ebner, children Cindy Ebner, Lisa Rosen, Mark (Nicole) Ebner, and their families. At the request of the Ebner Family, memorial gifts may be made to the Columbus Torah Academy or the Holocaust Education Fund of the Columbus Jewish Foundation, 1175 College Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43209.
