Historical Society Collection Expands

The Columbus Jewish Historical Society will be the new repository for Temple Israel’s archives.  Among the relocated historical records are archival ledgers from the 1890s, the 1868 Protokolbuch, newsletters, Brotherhood and Sisterhood files – some dating back to the early 1900′s, and rabbinical papers, including many sermons and writings authored by Rabbi Samuel Gup and Rabbi Jerome Folkman.  The Columbus Jewish Foundation owns and manages the Columbus Jewish Historical Society’s million dollar endowment portfolio.
