Foundation Spring Grants Exceed $200,000

The Foundation Board also approved eleven new Foundation grants that run the gamut from humanitarian aid to Holocaust education to Jewish cultural arts:
Early Childhood Service Scholarships at the JCC  $40,000
Short-Term Therapy at Jewish Family Services $6,500
OSU Hillel: Creating Jewish Leaders on Campus  $20,000
OSU Hillel: Engaging Jewish students from interfaith families $18,000
Cultural arts grants at the JCC reigned supreme with new dollars for Gallery Players, the Jewish Film Festival, and Jewish Bookfair $30,000
BalletMet: October performance of Minus 16, by noted Israeli choreographer and Batsheva Dance Company artistic director Ohad Naharin (click here)
This Fall’s Columbus Jewish Arts Center festival  $2,500
Joint Distribution Committee emergency support for the Venezuelan Jewish community  $20,000
Dualis Social Non-Profit Investment Fund – to train and employ at-risk Israeli youth $20,000
Jaffee Dental Fund scholarships will again be provided to any and all Jewish students attending the OSU College of Dentistry
Support for the March of the Living from the Aurelia and Ernie Stern Endowment
