For the Survivors Among Us
Survivors of the Holocaust still are haunted by the extermination campaign that claimed the lives of their loved ones. Photographer Harry Borden traveled the world to capture intimate portraits of some of those who lived. Of the Central Ohio Jewish community’s 238 survivors, 176 live at or beneath the poverty line. The Federation continues to raise money to meet their needs. Partnering in that effort, the Foundation continues to provide food and utilities assistance. To help those who have gone through so much to live their lives in dignity, donate at Jewishcolumbus.org/hsi.
