Do not put stumbling blocks before the blind (Leviticus 19:14)

According to the US Census, 1 in 5 people has some kind of learning, cognitive, physical and/or developmental disability.  In the Jewish community, that number may be even higher because of genetic illnesses.   February is Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month, designed to create awareness and inclusion for those with disabilities.  We are reminded of the Talmudic dictum:  “Do not look at the container, but what is in it.”
