Cubbage Corners (aka Camp Hoover)

Outdoor Camp Sanctuary to Memorialize Goldston Family Members

A dedication of the JCC’s new Camp Hoover Outdoor Sanctuary will be held on June 12 as part of the camp’s first Shabbat of the 2015 summer.   The sanctuary was built in memory of Eva Izeman Goldston, Sonia Izeman Hoffman, and Foundation advocates and fundholders Sanford and Bonnie Goldston.

As kids gear up for their summer experiences at what is nowadays known as the JCC’s Camp Hoover, special thanks are in order to the following donors for assembling, funding, and maintaining the beautiful 30.93 acre waterfront property:  Millard and Diane Cummins, Joe and David Berman, and Susan and Marvin Katz.  See correspondence regarding the Cummins’ donation in 1966 below.
