Crohn’s & Colitis Education
The Foundation’s Judah Folkman Fund is sponsoring the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation’s local premier of Semicolon; The Adventures of Ostomy Girl, a movie about a 25 year old woman who lived with Crohn’s disease since the age of four. An estimated 30,000 people in central Ohio live with Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis. It disproportionately affects Ashkenazi Jews. The Dr. Judah Folkman Medical Education & Research Endowment was established in 1998 when the Foundation honored the world-famous cancer researcher, who originally hailed from Columbus. The movie will be shown at the JCC on December 2.
