Columbus Police Officer Headed to Israel for Counter-terrorism Training

Detective Patrick L. Seaman will soon be getting Homeland Security training in Israel, sponsored through a Federation-Foundation funding collaborative.  With the United States on constant terror alert, American police and law enforcement officials increasingly take advantage of Israel’s expertise in various facets of counter-terrorism and first response to better protect Americans.  Speaking this week at the International Homeland Defense and Security Summit, Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant stated, “If there’s anyone that knows about homeland security, it’s the Israelis. They have a tough neighborhood they live in.”
