Build the Schools Before the Shuls

Columbus Torah Academy’s first high school graduation in June 1996 consisted of only five students.   The driving force and funder behind the high school was community leader Irving Baker, who will be posthumously recognized by the school on December 4.  Said Baker, “If not enough funds exist to build both synagogues and schools, we must build the schools.  Without education, there will be no need for synagogues.”
