1917- A Year that Shook the World

Columbus Jewish Day School 6th graders are gearing up for a visit to the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia.  The Museum’s newest exhibit, 1917, How One Year Changed the World, focuses on three historic events and their major impact on Jews: America’s entry into World War I, the Bolshevik Revolution, and the Balfour Declaration.  Museum and attraction tickets for the CJDS trip were donated by an anonymous Foundation donor.  The students will also visit the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and the only synagogue designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
